Druid Raid Rotation

A good Druid will find themselves a great addition to any raiding team. Putting out the maximum amount of damage or properly holding threat or even effectively healing is key to gaining a spot in your guilds raid team. Keep in mind, having the proper spec and being geared gemmed and enchanted appropriately is a start. However, we will cover that in another section of our blog.  What we want to talk about here is knowing the proper rotations to maximize your output no matter what your role.

Rotations vary depending on how you are spec'd and how you are geared so this is a rough guide to how rotations should be done for a Druid.

     Balance - Single Target Rotation

          Moonfire
          Insect Swarm
          Starsurge (cast every time available)
          Starfall (cast every time available)
Force of Nature (cast every time available)
          Moonfire
          Insect Swarm
Starfire (until you hit solar eclipse)
          Moonfire
          Insect Swarm
Wrath (until you hit lunar eclipse)
          Refresh dots
          Starfire

     Balance - AoE Rotation

          Moonfire
Insect Swarm (do these two first for the sake of your tank and his threat)
          Starfall
          Typhoon (every time it's up)
          Hurricane (spam)

Feral Druid - Cat - Single Target Rotation

          Feral Charge (cast whenever available)
          Pounce (bleed effect)
Ravage (free due to feral charge)
          Faerie Fire (always keep active)
          Mangle (increases bleed dmg)
          Berserk (activate every time available)
Tiger's Fury (activate every time available)
          Rip (keep active)
          Rake (keep active)
          Shred
          Savage Roar (keep active)
Shred (only if all above conditions are met)
Once target is at or below 25% add Ferocious Bite into the mix

Needless to say Feral - Cat is a very complex spec and takes great time to master.

Feral - Cat - AoE Rotation

          Feral Charge
Ravage (free due to feral charge)
          Savage Roar
          Tiger's Fury
          Berserk
          Swipe (spam)

Feral - Bear - Single Target Rotation

          Feral Charge
          Faerie Fire
          Mangle
          Lacerate x 3 (stacks 3 times)
          Pulverize
          Mangle (whenever possible)
          Thrash (if you cannot mangle)
lacerate (if you can not mangle or thrash)
Pulverize (if you get 3 stacks of lacerate or if pulverize is about to expire)

Feral - Bear - AoE Rotation

          Thorns
          Feral Charge
          Swipe
          Maul (if glyphed)
          Thrash
          Maul (if glyphed)
Repeat all except thorns til dead

Restoration - There are many versions of a restoration spec.  Your rotation will highly depend on your spec.
PandaResearch
          Lifebloom (tank only)
Rejuvenation (any raid member taking dmg)
          Wild Growth (keep active)
Regrowth (only if spike dmg is being dealt)
Nourish (use to top off anyone affected by your hots)

On a side note you have nature's swiftness and tree of life available if dmg becomes overwhelming.

Thats all for my guide to raiding as a druid.

As stated above these are more guidelines then rules.  Feel free to offer feedback for any and all of the options above.
